HHS Curriculum Night/Open House is Thursday, August 29, beginning at 6 PM in the HHS Auditorium. At 6:30, parents will follow their student's schedule, visiting each classroom for ten minutes, with five minutes between classes, until the end of 7th period at 8:10. Teachers will provide a curricular overview, other pertinent information, and a brief Q & A session.
GMSD will deploy student laptops during the week of August 5th. To accommodate families’ schedules, we have scheduled device deployment all at one location: Houston High School. Please make note below for your assigned date and time for pickup.
We know your time is valuable. If you have multiple children in grades 6-12, you may pick up devices for all of them during any one of your assigned pickup dates (3:00p-8:00p) or the Friday makeup day (8:00a-3:00p). If you are not able to make either your assigned pickup date or the makeup day, please email Christopher.Cooper@gmsdk12.org to attend another day during that week. If all else fails, your child may pick up their device at their school during the first week of school.
There is a $50 laptop maintenance fee or a $30 iPad maintenance fee to cover the cost of insuring the device. If you did not pay during online registration, please pay the fee on the MySchoolBucks website (not the mobile app) as soon as possible. To pay the device fee, go to www.myschoolbucks.com from a desktop or laptop computer. Once logged in:

Project Graduation is the largest event that the PTSO sponsors and coordinates. This event is a safe, drug-free and alcohol-free graduation after-party for our seniors. The event will be held at Germantown Baptist Church from 10:30 PM to 2:00 AM following Houston High School's graduation ceremonies.
This event keeps getting bigger and better each year and the need for more volunteers is critical. We are appealing to all NON-SENIOR parents to get involved so that they can continue the tradition when their student graduates.
This year we need approximately 70 additional volunteers (both moms and dads) to assist The Board of Directors. There are some jobs that will require you to stay for the entire event. Others will allow you to come early and leave early. And there are others that will allow you to come later and leave after the event.
There will be an information meeting on 05/14/2018 in the HHS Auditorium at 6:30 PM.This will be a brief meeting where you will be given information regarding the flow of the Event and receive instructions for your specific areas.
Help us make this an INCREDIBLE event for our Seniors (and for our future Seniors)
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via the PTSO email address: email@example.com
